How can you help sustain community traditions and social change in the Philadelphia region?
Join a community of people are working to widen the way for people committed to folk and traditional arts, and for people working for meaningful alternatives for local communities. |
Through movie screenings, facilitated discussions and performances, the Philadelphia Folklore Project, as producer, aims to illuminate how the featured four brilliant singers - mothers, refugees, immigrants, survivors of Liberia's civil wars - are indeed heroes in our midst. |
PFP aims to provide internship and volunteer opportunities in which interns gain skills and experiences, while advancing public interest folklife work locally. |
Check out our publications, videos and DVDs, as well as samples of work by musicians. |
